My Apple Watch Nike+ Edition has really been an amazing addition to my technology usage. Prior to having my Apple Watch I never liked having anything on my hands, wrists, or anything. I found it hard to wear my old Stormtrooper watch. The Apple Watch somehow is different. It feels so nature that many times I don't even notice it's there, that is until I get a notification from my iPhone.
One thing that I recently changed was the orientation of my Apple Watch. I remember reading a post when the first generation Apple Watch came out posing the idea of having the Digital Crown on the opposite side of the Watch - opposite of the default settings. As a user that wears the watch on my left wrist and using my right hand to touch the watch, it made sense to have the Digital Crown on the left side of the face, making it easier for my thumb to engage the scrolling action. I switched to this orientation yesterday and will give it a shot to see how it feels. Of course that also involved switching the bands on the watch as well. Thankfully Apple made that option so easy.
In case you're interested in changing the orientation of your Apple Watch, follow the following steps.
Press the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch.
Tap on Settings > General > Orientation

As of Thursday, January 12th:
I've had my Apple Watch with the Digital Crown on the left side so my thumb could engage the scrolling motion for the past 7 days and it definitely feels much more natural and comfortable. I'm sure Apple's default setting of having the Digital Crown on the right is due to essentially every watch throughout time having the dial on the right, but I really like this different orientation for my Apple Watch.
